Demonstrates deep understanding of subject matter. Explains concepts thoroughly without relying on notes. Shows good subject knowledge. Explains concepts accurately with minor reliance on slides. Basic knowledge shown. Relies heavily on slide text. Inaccurate content or lacks basic understanding.

English Fluency & Delivery

Weight: 30%
Clear pronunciation, fluent pace, excellent use of academic English and signposting. Clear speech with minor hesitation. Understandable academic English. Frequent pauses or pronunciation difficulties affecting flow. Hard to follow due to severe language barriers.

Visual Aids & Multimodality

Weight: 20%
Slides are visual, concise, well-structured, and enhance comprehension effectively. Slides are clear and organized with suitable text and images. Slides contain too much text or crowded formatting. No visual aids or poorly prepared slides.

Q&A Interaction

Weight: 20%
Answers questions confidently and precisely in English. Answers questions adequately with slight hesitation. Requires clarification before answering questions. Unable to answer questions from audience.
