Lecturer presenting in an international classroom
Official UNIPMA Platform

About EMI Compass

An independent lecturer preparation platform of Universitas PGRI Madiun — helping lecturers prepare, deliver, and evaluate English-Medium Instruction (EMI) classes with confidence.

BACKGROUND

The rationale and necessity behind lecturer preparation for EMI classrooms.

Why Lecturers Need Practical Preparation for EMI

In line with Universitas PGRI Madiun's internationalization vision, lecturers across academic disciplines are actively encouraged to deliver courses through English-Medium Instruction (EMI).

Teaching subject matter in English requires more than general language fluency — it demands pedagogical adaptation, instructional scaffolding, specialized terminology, and interactive classroom strategies to ensure students comprehend complex concepts effectively.
